Round the carousel
So this weekend is college for a weekend (cfaw) at LU. All these potential students have overrun the campus and are taking our seats in convocation. The dining hall actually makes good food for these weekends to entice the high schoolers to come here, so that was good. Usually these weekends are upsetting and make a bunch of students upset, but I have had an uncommonly happy Friday. I woke up groggy but had a good laugh at breakfast and in biblical worldview 102. I guess that set up the rest of the day to be good and I have been hyper all day. Now that night has fallen, however, it is time to enjoy the night life of LU and go see the play. This week the school is putting on Rogers and Hammerstein's carousel. I really loved watching this play on VHS growing up so I'm excited. I'll tell you how it was later.

Boredom
As boredom sets in I realize that I don't want to really do anything but sleep. This is just me wallowing, though and that is something I cannot allow myself to do. So I'm going to read a book until 10 and then go to bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be warmer.

Yesterday was a hurricane. I woke up at ten, ate breakfast and then went with my twin and my brother to the opening ceremony for our new church. We stayed there long enough to eat lunch, then twinny and I had to get to our high school for a leadership meeting which never happened. I then did my best friend's hair and we went outside with the marching band to get a run through of our show in before we ate our dinner and got into our uniforms. I had to stay outside after practice while everyone went inside to eat so I could teach a freshman her spot on the field. She didn't get to learn the whole thing, so I had to ask my band director if she could stay on the sidelines and "play her music" which she doesn't know. We got inside in time to eat a little, but then I had to french braid 7 girls' hair because apparently I'm the only girl in the band that knows how, and my hair is only a half an inch long. by the time I was done it was time to report outside and i wasn't even wearing my whites (the clothes that go under the uniform). I ran to the tuba room, slipped my pants off and my shorts on, slid on my long socks, grabbed my dinkles then ran to get my uniform. i then threw that on and rushed outside to then give some mints to our new kids in hopes that they would "suck now, not later" as our new motto is. We got to the competition, did our show, and then drank some water. I had to go up for the awards ceremony and our band director sent us up a hlaf hour early. By the time the awards started i had to pee, really bad. As soon as awards were given (we got 2nd in our division) I grabbed my mom and made her take me to the bathroom. When that was over, we got on the bus went to school, changed out of our uniforms and then I fell asleep. Today I went to church and held a sleeping baby. Today was a whole lot better.

New Neighbors
So A couple weeks ago, i was lazing around the house watching TV. My mom walks in the room with some food and asks me if i want to go greet the new neighbors! "what new neighbors?" i asked. I was honestly in the dark! Apparently the family two doors down had decided to move. I was in no way upset, because i had barely talked to the family that had until that week, lived there. But I, being the teen that i am, said no thanks and sat my fat arse down on the sofa and turned on the telly. Then, a few days ago, I'm inside when all of a sudden, my twin sister pops her head in the front door and asks, "Do you want to play hide and seek with the new neighbors?" I said sure, and went outside to find two young boys, both taller than me with dark hair and one of them had glasses, and a younger girl, along with another neighbor, Bobby, who's only a toddler. we played one of those "you're not it" games, and little to my surprise, i was "it" first. I counted to fifty, shouted here i come, and started walking around. Now, i don't know how you play hide and seek, but i used to only have to find the person. But when i found a neighbor, she started running like a maniac telling me the whole time how i couldn't get her. out of the bushes run her brothers and Bobby telling the girl that she was not it unless i tagged her, so i ran after her, and tagged her. but only after a ton of sweat started pouring down my back. yuck! shows how in shape i am. but the new neighbors are really nice, are actually very fun to play with, and there are five kids, one babe, one in elementary school, two in middle school, and an older boy in my grade. this could be interesting!

A Proper Introduction
I know I just went at it the other night, and I'm sorry to all of you who enjoyed Dear John, but being a really tired teenage girl, i didn't want to be crying right before bed time. As i said, i am a teenager, and as such i should be allowed to get excited and babble. So, for a "proper" introduction to the Internet, I am Shiona Clark, teenage hopeful blogger. I don't want this to be like all the diaries I've attempted to keep when i was younger where i just talk and talk and then one day stop. But i have to remind myself, this isn't a diary, the whole world could potentially see whatever i have to write, so i should be careful. And that's what i plan to do.
Who knows? I could end up being pretty good at this! I'm not used to letting everybody know what I'm thinking and what I'm feeling, so this is going to be a... fun experience. You all just have to remember that these are my thoughts, my criticisms, and if you don't like it, don't read it. seriously, i won't care, just don't read what you don't want to! you have a choice! you don't have to read something just because it's on the Internet! I hope you all won't be as harsh as I've heard you can be, and if you are, then I'll just have to find a way to deal with it :) That's my introduction, so here we go!

First Blog is also a Late Blog
So it's almost midnight, and i'm crazy enough to try ranting to a computer. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME??? oh wait, that's right, i was just watching one of the world's soppiest movies ever. And why would i put myself through such horrors? Because my loving twin sister was in charge of renting the movie. And I let her. Why did i let her? is it because she has big brown eyes? yuck, no. is it because she's so sweet and innocent? uhhmm, close but no ciggar. or is it because she was the one paying for the movie? BINGO!!! ding ding ding we have a winner! what movie, you ask? why, Dear John, of course! what other chick flick could a teenaged girl possibly want to watch? not King Kong, no, but the one with the broken hearts. that is my late night rant, and i can't type more now, because i still have to get ready to SLEEP!!! :D
